About me
I live north of Copenhagen with my wife Charlotte, and her two daughters, and our daughter Caroline.

How it started
I meet the Online, Internet and eCommerce industry first time back in 1994, when I started to work for Dialog Corp.
Dialog Corp. was the first company to sell content online. Founded on the Lockhead spacecenter, were Scientists offered a service were other Scientists could buy Scientific content online.
In 1995 we launched a new service were you had a graphic interface (browser), wauuu what a revolution.

"Startpage" on the Internet
In 1998 I was hirred by the Norwegian mediagroup Shibsted as a project manager to create a "startpage" or a "gateway", were the users could have access to a number of basic tools like News, Mail, Search all in one page.
By the end of the project period a new hypeword came up in the industry, and we decided to define ourselves as a "Portal"!!!
The Newspapers were critical, and the Online Manager for a lager Danish newspaper Mr. Claus Soelvsten said to the national radio, that people would newer read news not made of the media themselve.
(Well 3 years after he became manager for Portal that had only news feedet by robots like Google News)

Deep Linking
In 2001 I started Newsbooster, one of the first newssearch engines, were the users could search content from over 6000 sources, and setup personal search profiles.
Now the Newspapers were extremely critical, and whanted the Search Engine to refer to the frontpage instead of the exact content.
Therefore they filed a suit against Newsbooster, a suit that we were quite sure to win because we only did what all other search engines were doing, just better.
Unfortunately we lost the suit. The case archieved to becom the 3. most reffered news subject within Internet and Telecom worldwide, with fronpage coverage from Medias like New York Times, WSJ, USA Today, Pravda, herrald Tribune etc.
